Fornells de la Selva

Fornells de la Selva is a municipality in the comarca of Gironès that forms part of the urban area of Girona. The northern boundary is with the municipality of Girona; the southern is with Riudellots de la Selva and Campllong; the east with Quart and Llambilles; and the west with Vilablareix and Aiguaviva. The municipality covers an area of 11.88 square kilometres and as of 2011 had a population of 2380 people.

Monastery of Sant Daniel, Girona

The Monastery of San Daniel is a religious complex in Girona, Catalonia, northern Spain. It was founded in the early 11th century by will of countess Ermesinde of Carcassonne, who wanted to found a nunnery here. The church, based on that of the monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants, with the addition of a transept, was later renewed. It has a cloister with two floors, the lower from the 13th century and the upper, in Gothic style, from the 15th century.
