Torsburgen
Torsburgen was an ancient fortress on the Baltic Sea island of Gotland belonging to Sweden. It was originally constructed at the beginning of the 1st century AD. Reinforced during the 4th century, it was in use until c. 1100 AD. A timber-laced stone rampart encircled an area of 12 hectares.

Gotland County at present is unique in Sweden as there is no county council. The municipality handles the tasks that otherwise is handled by the county council, mainly health care and public transport.
