Skärte is a nature reserve in Varberg Municipality, Sweden. It has an area of 18.2 hectares. The reserve was established in 2006. The land is privately owned but managed by Halland County Council. Skärte consists of two hills, covered with oak forest. Between the hills there is a ravine. In the ravine runs a stream, Stenån, which also passes through the nearby Gässlösa.

Bocksten Man
The Bocksten Man (also spelled as Boxsten) is the remains of a medieval male body found in a bog in Varberg Municipality, Sweden. It is one of the best-preserved finds in Europe from that era and is exhibited at the Varberg County Museum. The man had been killed and knocked to the bottom of a lake which later became a bog. The bog where the body was found lies about 24 kilometres east of Varberg on the west coast of Sweden, close to the most important medieval road in the area: the Via Regia.

Svartrå
Svartrå is a former village and parish in Falkenberg Municipality, Sweden with about 200 citizens. It formed a parish until 2006, when the parish merged with Köinge and Okome parishes to form Okome parish. It was a municipality between 1863 and 1951. A brook, Svartån, flows through the area. It is likely to have given name to the village which in turn gave the parish its name. Svartrå was first mentioned in 1461, then spelt Swa[r r]teraa.

Skärbäck
Skärbäck is a nature reserve in Varberg Municipality, Sweden. It's situated between the lakes Skärsjön, Humsjön and Grytsjön. The reserve has an area of 98 hectares and is dominated by broad-leaved deciduous forest. It was established in 1978. The area has been dominated by beech forest for at least 1,000 years. In the 19th century, much of the forests in Halland were felled, but not at Skärbäck. One reason may have been that the area was owned by the nobility until 1892.
