International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) The International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) was established by charter in 1975. It started operations in 1977. It is one of 15 such centers supported across the world by the CGIAR*. Qinnasrin

Qinnasrin, was a historical town in northern Syria. It gained fame as an important religious and cultural centre of Syriac Christians before the coming of Islamic conquests. The ancient Chalcis was the birthplace of 3rd century Neoplatonist philosopher Iamblichus. The town was situated 25 km south west of Aleppo on the west bank of the Queiq River and was connected to Aleppo with a major road during the Roman times.

Khan Tuman (building)

Khan Tuman is a large khan is located in the village of Khan Tuman, about fifteen kilometers south of Aleppo, on the west bank of the Quweiq River. It was built in 1189 by Ayyubid Emir Tuman Nuri as a rural khan to protect travelers on the trade route linking the Euphrates to the Mediterranean Sea. A second khan was added abutting its southern wall in 1478 by Mamluk Sultan Qaitbey (1468–1496).

Aleppo International Stadium

Aleppo International Stadium is an Olympic-standard, multi-use, all-covered and all-seater stadium in the Syrian city of Aleppo. It is the largest stadium in Syria, and is currently used mostly for football matches. It serves as a home ground of Al-Ittihad football club. It also hosted some home games of the Syrian football team. The stadium was opened in 2007 and holds 75,000 spectators. The venue is a part of al-Hamadaniah sports city which is located in the southern districts of Aleppo.

Al-Hamadaniah Stadium

Al-Hamadaniah Stadium is an all-seater multi-purpose stadium in Aleppo, Syria. It is mostly used for football matches and has a capacity of 18,000 spectators. Al-Hamadaniah stadium serves as a home ground for Hurriya SC and sometimes for Al-Ittihad Aleppo as well. It hosted many of Syria national football team's matches before the inauguration of Aleppo International Stadium. The venue can also stage athletics tournaments with its up-to-date track and facilities.
