Nanzih District

Nanzih District is a district located in Kaohsiung City, Republic of China. It was the northernmost district of Kaohsiung City until Kaohsiung County was merged into the municipality in 2010. Nanzih offers convenient access to transportation such as a train and bus station and a National Highway. Moreover, it also contains Nanzih Industrial Zone.

Kaohsiung National Stadium

National Stadium (Chinese: 國家體育場; also named 龍騰體育場) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It is currently the largest stadium in Taiwan in terms of capacity. Completed in 2009, it will be used mostly for athletics and rugby events, including hosting the main events for the 2009 World Games. The stadium will have a capacity of 55,000 people. After the games the stadium will likely be used for some Taiwan football team matches.

Lotus Lake

Lotus Lake is a man-made lake and popular tourist destination on the east side of Zuoying District in Kaohsiung City in southern Taiwan. Opened in 1951, it is famous for the lotus plants on the lake and the numerous temples around the lake, including the Spring and Autumn Pavilions (春秋閣), the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas (龍虎塔), and the Confucian Temple (孔廟). Lotus Lake was the site for several water sporting events for World Games 2009, including canoe polo, water ski, and dragon boat.
