Shoushan (Kaohsiung)

Shoushan (壽山) is located at western side of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, to the north of the main entrance to Kaohsiung Harbor. It was named Ape Hill by the Dutch in the 17th century to describe many monkeys on this mountain. It is also called Chaishan (柴山) and actually includes the Snake Hill (蛇山 - a 17th century term) in its northern part, and Long Life Hill (壽山 named by Japanese in 1911-1915 for the crown-prince Hirohito) in the southern part.

Kaohsiung American School

Kaohsiung American School </div> </div> Established in 1989, 'Kaohsiung American School' (高雄美國學校 in traditional Chinese; Gāoxióng Mĕiguó xuéxiào in pinyin; abbreviation KAS) is a private, pre-K through grade 12 college preparatory school located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The current superintendent is Dr. Thomas Farrell. The school has been accredited to teach the IB Diploma Programme beginning in August 2010.

Spring and Autumn Pavilions

The Spring and Autumn Pavilions (春秋閣) are a Taoist temple complex located on Lotus Lake in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Like the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, the temple is special and unique. It was built in 1953 by Chi Ming palace, were two Chinese palace-style pavilions. The complex can be seen from the top of the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas.

Zuoying District

Zuoying District is an administrative district of Kaohsiung City in southern Taiwan. Zuoying district has the most populous village in Taiwan: Fushan Village.
