Wulai District is a rural district in southern New Taipei City in northern Republic of China (Taiwan). It sits near the border with Taipei and is famous for its hot springs. It is the largest district in New Taipei as well as the most mountainous. The name of the town derives from the Atayal phrase qilux ulay meaning "hot and poisonous".

Datong (大同) is a rural township in the southwestern part of Yilan County, Taiwan. It is predominantly populated by Taiwanese aborigines of the Atayal Tribe. The township is dominated by rugged mountains and wide river valleys. Most settlements in the county are located along the Lanyang River valley which runs from the central mountains of Taiwan into the Lanyang Plain. Bitan
Bitan, historically called "Shi-Bitan"(石碧潭), is a tourist spot in Xindian District, New Taipei City, Republic of China. Bitan literally means Green Lake, referring to where the Xindian River widens to form the lake. There is a well-known suspension bridge that is used only by pedestrians. The bridge can be seen on the crest of Xindian. There are many restaurants, carnival activities, and pedal boats in the area. Bitan can easily be reached via Taipei's metro system.
