The Sincheng Station(新城（太魯閣）車站) is a railway station of Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA) North-Link Line located at Hualien County, Taiwan. To promote the sight-seeing in nearby area, the local committees decided to change the station name to Taroko according to the famous Taroko Gorge. The new name was effective from Aug 2007. Hualien Airport
Hualien Airport (花蓮機場) is a commercial airport located in an 11.5-hectare civilian area of a military airbase in Hualien, Taiwan. It primary serves domestic flights although it can handle international charter flights as well. The proximity of Hualien Airport to a military base has caused some tension between travelers, airline officials, and the Republic of China Air Force, especially when civilian flights are cancelled due to war games exercises.
