Penghu

The Penghu Islands, also known as Pescadores are an archipelago off the western coast of Taiwan in the Taiwan Strait consisting of 64 small islands and islets covering an area of 141 square kilometers. The whole archipelago forms Penghu County of Taiwan Province of the Republic of China.

Husi, Penghu

Husi (湖西鄉) is a rural township in Penghu Islands, Taiwan. There are many villages in the township. Among them, Guoye village is famous for its sunrise since it is at the most eastern corner of Penghu main island. Beiliao village is a beautiful place with both seaviews and a hill.

Baisha Township (白沙鄉,"White sand") is a rural township in Penghu County, located northern of Penghu Main Island and linked to Siyu township by the trans-oceanic bridge, which at 2.5km long makes it the longest of its kind in east Asia.

Japanese cruiser Matsushima

Japanese cruiser Matsushima was a Matsushima-class protected cruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Like its sister ships, her name comes from one of the traditional Three Views of Japan, in this case, the Matsushima archipelago near Sendai in Miyagi prefecture.
