Madou District

Madou is a town of about 50,000 residents in Tainan, Taiwan. It owes its name to the Siraya aboriginal word Moatau or "Mattou". Madou was formerly one of the core Siraya villages during much of Taiwan's colonial history and figured heavily in the formation of colonial policy on Taiwan. Taiwan Shoufu University

Taiwan Shoufu University (台灣首府大學), formerly known as Diwan College of Management, founded in 1990, is the second college of Madou District in Tainan City. It was founded by Mr. Wang Hung-Tien,and his wife, Ms. Huang Hsin-Mong. Mr. Wang was an educator, and his wife was a legislator. With a devotion to education, they decided to set up a college at their hometown Madou.
