Sanam Chandra Palace

Sanam Chandra Palace is a tiny castle-like structure built in a combination of French and English styles, but with adaptions for the tropical climate The palace grounds is located on a site Nakhon Pathom, Thailand and consists of five buildings and a Ganesh shrine. The palace was built from 1907 to 1911 by King Vajiravudh (Rama VI), and has a view of Phra Pathom Chedi. Part of the site is presently a campus of Silpakorn University.

Phra Pathom Chedi

Phra Pathom Chedi is the tallest stupa in the world with the height of 127 metres . It is located in the town of Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. The name Phra Pathom Chedi means Holy chedi (stupa) of the beginning. The stupa at the location is first mentioned in Buddhist scriptures of the year 675, however archaeological findings date back to the 4th century. In the 11th century it was overbuilt with a Khmer (Ancient Cambodia) style prang, which was later overgrown by the jungle.

Nakhon Pathom

Nakhon Pathom is a city in central Thailand, capital of the Nakhon Pathom Province. One of the most important landmarks is the giant Phra Pathom Chedi. The city is also home to Thailand's only Bhikkhuni temple Wat Song Thammakanlayani (วัดทรงธรรมกัลยาณี), which is also open to women from abroad. Ratchaburi is a town in western Thailand, capital of the Ratchaburi Province. It covers the whole tambon Nai Mueang of Mueang Ratchaburi district. As of 2006 it has a population of 38,208.

Khlong Damnoen Saduak

Khlong Damnoen Saduak (Thai คลองดำเนินสะดวก) is a canal in western central Thailand. It links the Tha Chin and Mae Klong rivers, and has a length of approximately 35 km. The canal was built by order of King Mongkut. It was finished in 1868. The most famous site along the canal is the floating market in Damnoen Saduak. At the mouth of the canal to the Mae Klong is the catholic Nativity of Our Lady Cathedral, the principal church of the Diocese of Ratchaburi.
