Bang Pakong River
The Bang Pakong is a river in east Thailand. The river originates at the confluence of the Nakhon Nayok River and the Prachinburi River at Pak Nam Yothaka in Amphoe Ban Sang, Prachinburi Province. It empties into the Gulf of Thailand in the northeastern tip of the Bay of Bangkok. The watershed of the Bang Pa Kong is about 17,000 km². HTMS Maeklong
HTMS Maeklong was a Royal Thai Navy escort vessel and training ship, built at the Uraga Dock in Yokosuka, Japan. Her sister ship was the HTMS Tachin. The Maeklong is preserved in concrete in Chulachomklao Fort in Phra Samut Chedi district, Samut Prakan province, Thailand. The ship is named after a river, the Mae Klong.

Samut Prakan is one of the central provinces (changwat) of Thailand, established by the Act Establishing Changwat Samut Prakan, Changwat Nonthaburi, Changwat Samut Sakhon and Changwat Nakhon Nayok, Buddhist Era 2489 (1946), which came into force as from March 9, 1946. It is part of the Bangkok Metropolitan Region. Neighboring provinces are Bangkok, to the north and west, and Chachoengsao to the east.
