Choneteuthis tongaensis is a species of bobtail squid native to the waters around the Tonga Islands in the southern Pacific Ocean. It is known from only three specimens. Of these, the holotype is the largest, at 33.8 mm mantle length (ML). C.

Ha'ano

Haʻano is an island in the Haʻapai islands of Tonga. To the south are the islands of Foa and Lifuka. The island is 6.58 km² in area. It is losing population, which sank from 588 in 1996 to 477 in 2006. The four villages are all located on the west coast. From north to south, they are: Muitoa Ha'ano town Pukotala Fakakakai Ha'ano is the main village and district center, with a population of 135. Fakakakai is the largest village, with a population of 215.
