Agareb

Agareb is a coastal town and commune in eastern Tunisia in the Sfax Governorate. It lies 20 kilometres from Sfax. As of 2004 it had a population of 9610. It was founded by an Islamic saint of the fourteenth century, named Sidi Brahim Agareb. Agareb has a large industrial area which includes one of largest tile plants in Tunisia. Pastoral and olive production are important.

Mahares

Maharès is a small town in Tunisia with a population of 7,500 which swells up to 16,000 each summer with the return of locals that have immigrated to France, Italy and other Western European countries. The area is not known for any particular industry, but the town does attract many tourists. There is a large sandy beach 5 kilometers to the north called Chaffar. Mahares is about 1000 years old, and includes the Roman structure of Younga, built by the ancient Romans.
