Agareb

Agareb is a coastal town and commune in eastern Tunisia in the Sfax Governorate. It lies 20 kilometres from Sfax. As of 2004 it had a population of 9610. It was founded by an Islamic saint of the fourteenth century, named Sidi Brahim Agareb. Agareb has a large industrial area which includes one of largest tile plants in Tunisia. Pastoral and olive production are important.

Chekira Airfield

Chekira Airfield is an abandoned World War II military airfield in Tunisia, which was located near Wadi al `Akarit (Qabis); about 300 km south of Tunis. It was a temporary airfield built by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, used by the United States Army Air Force Ninth Air Force during the Tunisian Campaign.
