Cunda Island

This article is about Cunda Island in Turkey, for Cunda in Hinduism. Cunda Island, also called Alibey Island, . It is a small island in the northwestern Aegean Sea off the coast of Ayvalık, part of Balıkesir Province of Turkey, with an area of 23 km². It is located 16 km east of Lesbos, Greece. Cunda is linked to Ayvalık on the mainland by a causeway. The island has a typical resort town, and a bus and ferry link to Ayvalık.

Ayvalık Islands Nature Park

Ayvalık Islands are the group of islands around Ayvalık district of Turkey in Balıkesir Province in the Northeastern Aegean Sea. There are 22 islands and numerous rocks in the group, with Cunda Island, now a peninsula, being the largest. People live only on Cunda and Lale Islands. Cunda and Lale islands are linked to Ayvalık on the mainland, by a causeway enabling transportation by car. Cunda also has a ferry link from the main town, Alibey, to Ayvalık during the summer.

Gargara

Gargara was a Greek city on the southern coast of the Troad region of Anatolia. It was initially located beneath Mount Gargaron, one of the three peaks of Mount Ida, today known as Koca Kaya . At some point in the 4th century BCE the settlement moved approximately 5.8 km south of Koca Kaya to a site on the small coastal plain near the modern villages of Arıklı and Nusratlı, at which point the previous site came to be known as Old Gargara.

Antandrus

Antandrus was a Greek city on the north side of the Gulf of Adramyttium in the Troad region of Anatolia. Its surrounding territory was known in Greek as Ἀντανδρία (Antandria), and included the towns of Aspaneus on the coast and Astyra to the east. It has been located on Devren hill between the modern village of Avcılar and the town of Altınoluk in the Edremit district of Balıkesir province, Turkey.
