Halfeli

Halfeli is a town in the central district of Iğdır Province, Turkey. It is situated at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:39|53|N|43|59|E||| | |name= }}. The distance to Iğdır is 7 kilometres . The population of Halfeli is 7540 as of 2011. The settlement was founded by Halfeli tribe during the Ottoman Empire era. But after Russians captured the province after the Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878) the tribe escaped to Iran.

Iğdır Province

Iğdır Province is a province in eastern Turkey, located along the border with Armenia, Azerbaijan (the area of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic), and Iran. Its adjacent provinces are Kars to the northwest and Ağrı to the west and south. It occupies an area of 3,587 km² and population of 184,418 (2010 est. ), it was 168,634 in 2000 (up from 142,601 in 1990). It was created from southeastern part of former Kars Province in 1993.

Hoşhaber

Hoşhaber is a town in the central district of Iğdır Province, Turkey. It is situated in the extreme west of Iğdır plains at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:39|54|N|43|58|E||| | |name= }}. The distance to Iğdır is 7 kilometres . The population of Hoshaber is 2692 as of 2011. The settlement was captured by the Russians in the 19th century, but it was returned to Turkey during the last year of the First World War. In 1998 the settlement was declared a seat of township.
