Kömürhan Bridge

The Kömürhan Bridge is a box-girder bridge that carries the Elazığ-Malatya highway D.300 over the Firat River in eastern Turkey. It was constructed using the balanced cantilever technique. The bridge was constructed to replace an arch bridge built by the Swedish company Nydqvist & Holm AB and opened on October 5, 1932, which was flooded with the completion of the Karakaya Dam. The new bridge was built by the STFA Group between February 23, 1983 and April 8, 1986.

Hankendi, Elazığ

Hankendi is a town in the central district of Elazığ Province, Turkey. It is situated at on the Turkish state highway D.300 which connects Elazığ to Malatya at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:38|14|N|39|04 |E||| | |name= }}. The distance to Elazığ is 18 kilometres . The population of Hankendi is 1332 as of 2011. During the Byzantine Empire, the town was a part of Anzitene region Later it became a part of Seljuks of Rum and Ottoman Empire.
