Aslantaş Dam

Aslantaş Dam is an embankment dam on Ceyhan River in Osmaniye Province, Turkey, built between 1975 and 1984. The dam creates a lake which is 49 km ² and irrigates 149,849 hectares. It also supports a 138 MW power station.

Osmaniye Province

Osmaniye Province is a Turkish province located in southern Turkey. It became a province in 1996. The province was part of Adana Province. It covers an area of 3,767 km² and has a population of 479,221 (2010 est). The province is situated in Çukurova, a geographical, economical and cultural region. The capital of the province is Osmaniye . The next largest towns are Kadirli and Düziçi .

Böcekli

Böcekli is a town in Düziçi district of Osmaniye Province, Turkey. At {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:37|16|N|36|21|E||| | |name= }} the distance to Düziçi, is 12 kilometres . The population of the town is 2458 as of 2011. Two hundred years ago the original population of Böcekli under the leadership of certain Böcük Koca migrated from Şanlıurfa to present location. With the additional population from the then nomadic Afşar tribes they formed neighbouring villages.
