Port of Erdemir

The Port of Erdemir, officially Port of Karadeniz Ereğli or shortly Er-Port (Turkish: Erdemir Limanı or Karadeniz Ereğli Limanı) is a port in the western Black Sea, located in Karadeniz Ereğli district of Zonguldak Province, Turkey, about 25 km from the city of Zonguldak. Nerik

Nerik was a Bronze Age city to the north of the Hittite capitals Hattusa and Sapinuwa. The Hittites held it as sacred to a storm god who was the son of Wurušemu, sun goddess of Arinna. The weather god is associated or identified with Mount Zaliyanu near Nerik, responsible for assigning rain to the city. Nerik was founded by Hattic language speakers as Narak; in the Hattusa archive, tablet CTH 737 records a Hattic incantion for a festival there.
