It is called Hromkla or kela zêrîn in Kurdish, Qal'ah Rumita in Syriac, Qal'at al-Rum (قلعة الروم) in Arabic Rumkale in Turkish, Հռոմկլա ('Hromkla) in Armenian; the name means "Roman Castle (by extension also Byzantine)" in all cases.
