Çağlayan, Trabzon

Çağlayan (literally "Waterfall") is a town in in the central district of Trabzon Province, Turkey. At {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:40|54|N|39|43|E||| | |name= }} it is situated along the valley of Altındere creek. It is on Turkish state highway D.885 which connects Trabzon to hinterland . The distance to Trabzon is 16 kilometres . The population of the town is 4520 as of 2011. The area around Çağlayan was inhabited during the ancient ages.

Boztepe hill, Trabzon

Boztepe or Mount Minthrion is a hill near Trabzon in Turkey. It is located 3 kilometers southeast of the city center of Trabzon. The Değirmendere Valley lies to the west of Boztepe. The Kaymaklı quarter occupies most of the Boztepe hill. The area has been religiously significant since ancient times. (Whiting, pg 565) There are four sacred fountains on Bozetepe. That of Saint John the Sanctifier is near the summit. On the site is a mosque that was formerly a nineteenth-century church.

Kaymaklı Monastery

Kaymaklı Monastery (Armenian: Ամենափրկիչ Վանք, Amenaprgič Vank, meaning Monastery of the All-Saviour; Turkish: Kaymaklı Manastırı, Amenapırgiç Manastırı) is a ruined Armenian Apostolic monastery near Trabzon, Turkey. The monastery originally included a church, a bell tower at the northwest corner, and a small chapel near the southeast corner.

Beşirli Tennis Courts

Beşirli Tennis Courts (Turkish: Beşirli Tenis Kortları), aka Beşirli Tennis Complex, is a tennis venue located in Trabzon, Turkey. Completed in 2011 at a cost of File:Turkish lira symbol 8x10px. png 20 million (approx. $ 12.5 million), the complex consists of a center court with 4,500 seating capacity, three indoor courts, twelve outdoor courts and a children's court. There are also social and leisure facilities in addition to rooms for health care, doping test and press.

Yeni Cuma Mosque

The Yeni Cuma Mosque is a mosque in Trabzon, Turkey. It was built during Byzantine times as the Hagios Eugenios Church, dedicated to Saint Eugenius, the patron saint of the city. It is not known exactly when the church was built, however researchers consider that it was a basilica. An inscription dated 1291 has been found in it. The present building was probably built in the 14th century as a cruciform church. It has no narthex today, but there are three naves.
