Subotiv
Subotiv is a village (selo) in central Ukraine. It is located in the Chyhyryn Raion of the Cherkasy Oblast, near Chyhyryn city. The village is located on the right bank of the Tiasmyn River, a tributary of the Dnieper, 7 km from Chyhyryn, 21 km from Adamivka river port, and 38 km from Fundukliivka railway station. A local auto road 2414 runs through the village.

Tiasmyn River
The Tiasmyn river is a right tributary of the Dnieper River in Ukraine. The Tiasmyn originates in the north central part of the Dnieper hills in the central Ukrainian province of Kirovohrad. From there it flows through the Cherkasy Oblast, where it finally flows into the Kremenchuk Reservoir. The river forms a U-turn (180°) in its central run. Not counting the river's sharp turn, the river's source and its delta are located only 33 km (21 mi) away from each other.

Kremenchuk Reservoir
The Kremenchuk Reservoir (Ukrainian: Кременчуцьке водосховище, Kremenchuts’ke Vodoskhovyshche) is the largest water reservoir located on the Dnieper River. Named for the city of Kremenchuk, it covers a total area of 2,250 square kilometres in the territories of the Poltava, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad Oblasts in central Ukraine. The reservoir was created in 1959 when the Kremenchuk Hydroelectric Power Plant was built.
