Tomashpil (Ukrainian: Томашпіль, literally "the city of St Thomas", Polish: Tomaszpol, Russian: Томашполь is a small Ukrainian town in the eastern part of Podolian highlands, in the Vinnytsia region of Central Ukraine. Shpykiv

Shpykiv is an urban-type settlement in the Tulchyn Raion (a district in Vinnytsia Oblast in central Ukraine, 231 miles south west of Kiev. It is 15 miles NW of Tulchyn, the raion center. It formerly had a significant Jewish community, which numbered 1,875 in the year 1900.
