Armitt Library
Armitt Library is an independent library and museum, founded in Ambleside in Cumbria by Mary Louisa Armitt in 1909. It is a registered charity under English law. In 1997 the library and collections moved to a new building in Ambleside, known as The Armitt. Rydal Hall
Rydal Hall is an early 19th century Grade II listed historic house on the outskirts of the village of Rydal, Cumbria in the Lake District, England. The house is opposite Rydal Mount, home of the poet William Wordsworth. It used to be owned by the Le Fleming family, but now is under the ownership of the Diocise of Carlisle. The house is now used for retreats, conferences, courses and holidays in a beautiful situation near Rydal Water, north of Windermere.

Rydal Mount
Rydal Mount is a house near Ambleside in the Lake District. It is best known as the home of the poet William Wordsworth from 1813 to his death in 1850. Wordsworth was born in Cockermouth in Cumberland in 1770, and knew the Lake District well from his childhood. He moved away to study at the University of Cambridge in 1787, and then travelled in Britain and Europe for 12 years.

Rydal Water
Rydal Water is a small lake in the central part of the English Lake District, in the county of Cumbria. It is located near the hamlet of Rydal, between Grasmere and Ambleside in the Rothay Valley. The lake is 1290yd (1.18 km) long and varies in width up to a maximum of 380yd (350m), covering an area of 0.12 mi² (0.31 km²). It has a maximum depth of 65 ft (17m) and an elevation above sea level of 177 ft (54m).
