Herne Bay F.C. is an English football club based in Herne Bay, Kent. The club is affiliated to the Kent County Football Association. In 1974, they joined the Kent League. They reached the fifth round of the FA Vase in the 1996–97 season and the semi-final in season 2011–12. They have won the Kent League five times in their history and are currently members of Division One South of the Isthmian League. They were promoted to the Isthmian League Division One South for season 2012–13.

Herne Bay's seafront is home to the world's first freestanding purpose-built clock tower, built in 1837; until 1978, the town had the second-longest pier in the United Kingdom.
