Pendle Hippodrome Theatre

The Pendle Hippodrome Theatre is an amateur-run theatre in Colne, Lancashire in the north of England. It is owned by the Pendle Hippodrome Theatre Company, operating as Pendle Hippodrome Theatre Limited. The building originally opened in 1914 as a cinema and variety theatre. The Pendle Hippodrome Theatre was bought in 1978 by three local operatic societies and restored over the following eight years.

Trawden Forest

Trawden Forest is a civil parish in the English county of Lancashire, which takes its name from a medieval royal forest or "chase" which was in the same area. Trawden Forest forms part of the borough of Pendle; its main community is Trawden (formerly called Beardshaw) and it includes the hamlets of Cottontree, Winewall and Wycoller. Boulsworth Hill is a well known local landmark situated within the parish.

Pendle (UK Parliament constituency)

Pendle is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2010 by Andrew Stephenson, a Conservative. The constituency was newly created for the 1983 General Election, being largely formed from the former Nelson and Colne Constituency.

Colne Water

Colne Water is a watercourse running through the Lancashire town of Colne. Colne Water is formed at Covey Bridge near Laneshaw Bridge by the confluence of the River Laneshaw and Wycoller Beck. From there, the river runs in a westerly direction, collecting Trawden Brook at Cottontree, to join Pendle Water at Lowerford, adjacent to the M65 motorway.

River Laneshaw

The River Laneshaw is a river in Northern England. Rising as Laneshaw Brook on the border between the counties of Lancashire and Yorkshire from the collection of several streams draining both sides of the boundary, including Round Beck, the brook runs northwards, feeding the Laneshaw Reservoir, emerging running towards the rest as the River Laneshaw. The River Laneshaw combines with Wycoller Beck at Covey Bridge to form Colne Water.
