Creed, Cornwall
Creed is a village in Cornwall, United Kingdom. It is roughly midway between Truro and St Austell, about two miles (3 km) east of Probus. Creed is in the civil parish of Grampound with Creed and the name comes from Sancta Crida, from Saint Cride, the patron of the church. The manor of Tybesta was the head manor of the hundred of Powder in the time of Domesday and later one of the 17 Antiqua maneria of the Duchy of Cornwall. William Gregor, the discoverer of titanium, was rector here.

Grampound with Creed (Cornish: Ponsmeur a'byth Sen Krida) is a civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The two major settlements in the parish are the ancient town of Grampound and the smaller village of Creed. The larger settlement, Grampound, is situated approximately six miles (10 km) west of St Austell at grid reference SW 935 483 and Creed is one mile (1.6 km) south at SW 934 472.

Grampound with Creed is the civil parish of which the village of Grampound and the village of Creed are the main settlements. Formerly, part of Grampound was in the parish of Creed and part was in the parish of Probus. The name Grampound comes from Norman French: grand (great), pont (bridge), referring to the bridge over the River Fal.
