Spains Hall

Spains Hall is an Elizabethan country house near Finchingfield in Essex. The hall is named after Hervey de Ispania, who held the manor at the time of the Domesday Book in 1086. Since then, the land has been owned by three families - the de Ispania family; the Kempe family, who acquired it when Margery de Ispania married Nicholas Kempe in the early 15th century; and the Ruggles family (later the Ruggles-Brise family).

MDPGA Wethersfield

MDPGA Wethersfield is a Ministry of Defence facility in Essex, England, located north of the village of Wethersfield, about 6 mi north-west of the town of Braintree. Originally a military air station, the original accommodation areas have now been converted to become the Headquarters and Training Centre of the Ministry of Defence Police and Guarding Agency. Formerly known as RAF Wethersfield, it opened in 1944.

Shalford, Essex

Shalford is a small village in the English county of Essex. It is about four miles north of Braintree on the B1057 road. The village has a primary school, a village hall, a 14th century pub (The George). At the southern end of the village is Stoneley Park, made in 1997 from an infilled sand pit and where many trees were planted by local residents.
