MDPGA Wethersfield

MDPGA Wethersfield is a Ministry of Defence facility in Essex, England, located north of the village of Wethersfield, about 6 mi north-west of the town of Braintree. Originally a military air station, the original accommodation areas have now been converted to become the Headquarters and Training Centre of the Ministry of Defence Police and Guarding Agency. Formerly known as RAF Wethersfield, it opened in 1944.

Spains Hall

Spains Hall is an Elizabethan country house near Finchingfield in Essex. The hall is named after Hervey de Ispania, who held the manor at the time of the Domesday Book in 1086. Since then, the land has been owned by three families - the de Ispania family; the Kempe family, who acquired it when Margery de Ispania married Nicholas Kempe in the early 15th century; and the Ruggles family (later the Ruggles-Brise family).

The City of Chelmsford is a local government district in Essex, England. It is named after its main settlement, Chelmsford, which is also the county town of Essex. On 1 June 2012 Chelmsford was granted city status to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II.

Braintree Rural District

Braintree Rural District was a rural district in the county of Essex, England. It was created in 1894. In 1934 the parish of Bocking was removed from the Rural District and became part of the newly created Braintree and Bocking Urban District, thus dividing the Rural District into two detached parts. It was named after Braintree and administered from Bocking. Since 1 April 1974 it has formed part of the District of Braintree.
