The Borough of Harrogate is a local government district and borough of North Yorkshire, England. Its council is based in the town of Harrogate but it also includes surrounding towns and villages. It is the most populous district of North Yorkshire. The district is part of the Leeds City Region.

Harrogate International Centre

The Harrogate International Centre is a convention and exhibition centre in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It was first opened in 1982 and was notable as the host of the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest and had expanded overtime to include a 2,000 seat conference auditorium and eight exhibition halls offering 16,500 square metres of space as well as ancillary facilities including a Holiday Inn hotel.

Norwood College

Norwood College was started in 1936 by Gordon William George Cass, or "Charlie" to all of his pupils. The school closed in 1972 and Charlie died in 1976 at Scotton Bank Hospital, Knaresborough. The school was on a corner site with the original part in Tewit Well Avenue and the later part in Leeds Road, Harrogate, close to The Stray. After Charlie Cass died, the building was demolished and a block of flats (apartments) was built in its place - Hanover House.

Clifton House Preparatory School

Clifton House School was on Stray Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. Information about the school is included on the web site for Norwood College http://www. aeden. plus. com/nc. htm . It is not certain when Clifton opened but it was in the 1890s in Queen Parade, Harrogate; it closed in 1968. The school was named after the house it occupied, Cliton House. Its owner, James Walter Nuttall, moved the school from Queen Parade to Stray Rd in 1906.

St Wilfrid's Church, Harrogate

St Wilfrid's Church, Harrogate is an Anglican parish church in the town of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It is a Grade 1 listed building, the only such building in Harrogate. It was designed by the architect Temple Lushington Moore and is his most famous work.
