Bodmin Jail

Bodmin Jail (alternatively Bodmin Gaol) is a historic former prison situated in Bodmin, on the edge of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. Built in 1779 and closed in 1927, the large range of buildings is now largely in ruins, although parts of the prison have been turned into a tourist attraction.

Bodmin Parish Church

Bodmin Parish Church is an Anglican church in Bodmin, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The existing church building is dated 1469-72 and was until the building of Truro Cathedral the largest church in Cornwall. The tower which remains from the original Norman church and stands on the north side of the church (the upper part is 15th century) was until the loss of its spire in 1699 150 ft high. The building underwent two Victorian restorations and another in 1930. It is now listed Grade I.

Triggshire

The hundred of Trigg (also known as Triggshire) was one of ten ancient administrative shires of Cornwall--see "Hundreds of Cornwall". Trigg is mentioned by name during the 7th century, as "Pagus Tricurius", "land of three war hosts". It was to the north of Cornwall, and included Bodmin Moor, Bodmin and the district to the west and north of the Moor{{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:50.471|-4.717||||||| |primary |name= }}.

Pencarrow

Pencarrow is a country house in north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated three miles (5 km) east-southeast of Wadebridge and three miles (5 km) north-northwest of Bodmin. The house is approached by a driveway of almost a mile in length. Construction of Pencarrow started in the 1760s, extending an older house on the site, by the fourth Sir John Molesworth, and then completed after his death in 1766, by his son the fifth Sir John Molesworth.

Bodmin Airfield

Bodmin Airfield is located 3.5 NM northeast of Bodmin, Cornwall, England, UK. Bodmin Aerodrome has a CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P633) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee (Cornwall Flying Club Limited). The aerodrome is not licensed for night use and runway 03/21 is no longer licensed. Radio equipped microlights can use Bodmin (radio contact preferred). All aircraft are strictly Prior Permission Required.
