Buckrose

Buckrose was a wapentake of the historic East Riding of Yorkshire, England consisting of the north-west part of the county; its territory is now partly in the modern East Riding and partly in North Yorkshire. Established in medieval times, it ceased to have much significance in the 19th century when the wapentakes were succeeded by other administrative divisions for most local government purposes.

Malton Castle

Malton Castle was a castle in Malton, North Yorkshire, England. A wooden motte and bailey castle was built by William Tyson, lord of Alnwick in the 11th century. The castle was given to Eustace de Vescy, who rebuilt it in stone. Eustace negiotiated the delivery of the castle to King David I of Scotland in 1138. The Scots garrisoned the castle, however it was captured later the same year. King Richard I of England visited the castle in 1189 and King Edward II of England in 1307.

Ss Leonard & Mary, Malton

Ss Leonard & Mary Roman Catholic Church is a parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Middlesbrough, situated in Malton, North Yorkshire, England. The medieval church was a gift from the Church of England to the Catholics of Malton and as it dates from 1180, is the oldest church currently in use by Catholics in England.

The Milton Rooms

The Milton Rooms is an Arts centre and hub for cultural and community lead activities located in Malton, North Yorkshire a market town in England. It is run by Artistic Directors Garry cooper and Nick Bagnall. It has been backed by patrons Bill Nighy, Jools Holland, Imelda Staunton and Kathy Burke. The main body of the building was built in 1930 by the Fitzwilliam family over the 19th century Masonic Lodge which is still in use.

Ryedale was a constituency in North Yorkshire represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elected one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. It was created in 1983 and abolished in 2010.
