Langtree
Langtree is a village and parish in north Devon, England, situated about 4 miles south-west of Great Torrington and 8 miles south of Bideford. Its name means "tall tree". Torridge District Council and Devon County Council are responsible for local government, while for religious administrative purposes it is part of the Archdeaconry of Barnstaple and the Diocese of Exeter. As well as houses and farms, Langtree village contains: All Saints' Church – a 13th-century Anglican church.

The Plough Arts Centre, Torrington
The Plough Arts Centre is a theatre, cinema and art gallery in Torrington, north Devon, England. The Plough is situated in a former Territorial Army drill hall on Fore Street in the centre of Torrington. The Plough was founded in 1975. The venue was named "The Plough" after a public house which had stood on the site during the nineteenth century. In 1991 financial problems threatened The Plough with closure: it was saved through a merger with the nearby Beaford Centre.

A mile to the east of the village are the earthwork remains of Durpley Castle, a medieval motte-and-bailey. The parish’s famous landmark is an ancient oak. It’s profile is, appropriately, that of an acorn whose western border follows the River Torridge.
