Long Marton railway station

Long Marton railway station was a railway station which served the village of Long Marton in Cumbria, England. Situated on the Settle-Carlisle Line, it was located 27+⁄4 miles south of Carlisle. Built by the Midland Railway, it was opened along with the line in 1876 and closed on 4 May 1970, when the local passenger service over the line was withdrawn. The station buildings were sold and converted into a private residence after closure and remain in use as such today.

Kirkby Thore railway station

Kirkby Thore railway station was a railway station situated on the Eden Valley Railway between Penrith and Kirkby Stephen East. It served the village of Kirkby Thore. The station opened to passenger traffic on 9 June 1862, and closed on 7 December 1953. The track has been dismantled and the A66 road now uses the route of the railway at this point. The former A66 route past the station is now a haulage yard.

Knock, Cumbria

Knock is a small village in the Eden district of Cumbria, England, near the larger village of Dufton and the town of Appleby-in-Westmorland. It once had a Methodist chapel, but that was closed and the chapel at Dufton was renamed "Dufton with Knock Methodist Church".

North Westmorland Rural District

North Westmorland was a rural district in Westmorland, England from 1935 to 1974. It now forms part of the Eden district of Cumbria.
