Swavesey Rural District

Swavesey was a rural district in Cambridgeshire, England, from 1894 to 1934. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 from the part of the St Ives rural sanitary district which was in Cambridgeshire (the rest being in Huntingdonshire). It covered the civil parishes of Boxworth Conington Fen Drayton Lolworth Over Swavesey It was merged in 1934 under a County Review Order into the Chesterton Rural District. It now forms part of the South Cambridgeshire district.

New Bedford River

The New Bedford River, also known as the Hundred Foot Drain because of the distance between the tops of the two embankments on either side of the river, is a man-made cut-off or by-pass channel of the River Great Ouse in the Fens of Cambridgeshire, England. It provides an almost straight channel between Earith and Denver Sluices. It is tidal, with reverse tidal flow being clearly visible at Welney, some 19 miles from the sea.

Histon F.C

Histon Football Club is an English football club based in the twin villages of Histon and Impington, approximately 3 miles north of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. From the 2007–08 season they competed in the Conference National, the highest level that the club has ever reached in the English football league system, before being relegated to Conference North at the end of the 2010–11 season. Nacer Relizani is currently the interim-manager, with Brian Page assisting him as first team coach.

Bridge Road, Impington

Bridge Road, also known as the Glassworld Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in Impington, a small village connected to Histon in Cambridgeshire. The ground is owned by a trust called Histon Football Club Holdings, who guarantee the use of the facility for sports purposes. Histon F.C. rent the ground from the trust for free. It is the home ground of Histon F.C. and has a capacity of 4,300 with approximately 1,700 covered seats.

Girton College, Cambridge

Girton College is one of the 31 constituent colleges of the University of Cambridge. It was England's first residential college for women, established in 1869 by Emily Davies, Barbara Bodichon and Lady Stanley of Alderley. The full college status was only received in 1948 and marked the official admittance of women to the university. In 1976, it was Cambridge's first women's college to become coeducational.
