A249 road

The A249 is a road in Kent, England, running from Maidstone to Sheerness on the Isle of Sheppey. It mainly functions as a link between the M2 and M20 motorways, and for goods vehicle traffic to the port at Sheerness. In 2006, an upgraded dual carriageway section opened between Iwade and Queenborough, including a new fixed crossing over the Swale. The existing lifting Kingsferry Bridge has been retained as an alternative route.

The Loft (nightclub)

Built more than 130 years ago in 1874, 34c Gabriels Hill, Maidstone was once a seed and grain warehouse. In 1992 the venue was converted from a small function room into a nightclub called Warehouse 2, a reference to it being the replacement venue for the original Warehouse nightclub in Lockmeadow which was closed to make way for a new link road.
