The A414 is a major road in England. It runs from the A41 at a junction west of Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire, through the town to junction 8 of the M1 motorway at Buncefield, and running parallel to the M1 until junction 7, heading south of St Albans, east through Hatfield, Hertford, then across the A10 and into Essex through Harlow, Chipping Ongar and Chelmsford before terminating at Maldon.

Fawbert and Barnard's School

Fawbert and Barnard's Undenominational (Voluntary Controlled) Primary School was founded by a charitable trust in 1836 under a provision contained in the will of George Fawbert. The original charter, still held at the school, contains specific reference to the freedom of religious choice for both pupils and staff. Thus it is called Fawbert and Barnard's Undenominational School. The executor of the will, John Barnard, formed a Committee of Trustees to administer the school.

Saint Nicholas School, Essex

Saint Nicholas School Saint Nicholas School was established in 1939 in a group of buildings set in the heart of the hamlet of Churchgate Street, near Old Harlow. A move to nearby Hillingdon House in 1977 and a substantial building programme in recent years allowed for gradual expansion of the school to its present size of over 400 boys and girls aged 4–16.
