Marsh Gibbon and Poundon railway station

Marsh Gibbon and Poundon railway station was a railway station to the west of Verney Junction on the Oxford and Bletchley section of the LNWR's branch of what is now known as the Varsity Line. The line was opened in 1850-51 with a station at Launton some two miles away. The original intention had been to call this station Poundon Bridge, however the name never seems to have been used. Marsh Gibbon and Poundon opened on 7 August 1880.

Launton railway station

Launton railway station served the village of Launton in Oxfordshire. It was on the Varsity Line between Bletchley and Oxford. The station opened in 1852; British Railways closed Launton station, and withdrew passenger services at the end of 1967.

Calvert railway station

Calvert was a railway station at Calvert, Buckinghamshire on the former Great Central Main Line between Manchester Piccadilly and London Marylebone. The station was opened in 1899 and closed in 1964. The line through it remains open for freight, including waste to a landfill site.

Bicester Airfield

Bicester Aerodrome, formerly RAF Bicester, is an airfield on the outskirts of the English town of Bicester in Oxfordshire. The RAF left in 2004. The airfield consists of 400 acres of well-drained short-mown grass, with three nominal runways (not marked) of 06/24, 13/31, 18/36, each 1,000 m long. The airfield surface is bumpy in places, due to collapsing field drains, requiring care on the part of pilots operating aircraft in those areas.

Finmere railway station

Finmere was a railway station on the former Great Central Main Line which ran between Manchester London Road and London Marylebone. It was opened in 1899 and served the nearby village of Finmere. The station was closed 1963 and the line through it was closed in 1966.
