Cornsay
Cornsay is a hamlet and civil parish in County Durham, England. It is 6 miles southeast of Consett and 7 miles southwest of Durham. It consists of nineteen dwellings, including four farms. All formerly belonged to Ushaw College for the training of Catholic priests, hence the organised nomenclature. East and West Farms are now in private hands as homes but the other two are still active, South Farm run by the Suddes family and North Farm by the Tweddle family.

Inkerman, County Durham
Inkerman was a village in County Durham, in England. It was situated a short distance to the north-west of Tow Law. Originated as a village of ironstone miners, it was built in 1854-1855 and named after the victorious Battle of Inkerman of the Crimean War, similarly to Balaclava, another Country Durham village. In 1930s the mining in the area went into liquidation, and the village was demolished in 1938.
