Charlecote Park

Charlecote Park is a grand 16th century country house, surrounded by its own deer park, on the banks of the River Avon near Wellesbourne, about 4 miles east of Stratford-upon-Avon and 5.5 miles south of Warwick, Warwickshire, England. It has been administered by the National Trust since 1946 and is open to the public. It is a Grade I listed building The Lucy family has owned the land since 1247.

Wellesbourne Mountford Airfield

Wellesbourne Mountford Airfield is located in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire, England, 3.3 NM (6.1 km; 3.8 mi) east of Stratford-Upon-Avon. The airfield was formerly the Royal Air Force station RAF Wellesbourne Mountford. Wellesbourne Mountford is best known for its role in the Second World War, when it was under control by RAF Bomber Command as an Operational Training Unit training crews from within the commonwealth and other countries.
