Newry and Mourne District Council (Irish: Comhairle an Iúir agus Mhúrn) is a local council in Northern Ireland. It includes much of the south of County Armagh and the south of County Down and has a population of approximately 93,400. Council headquarters are in Newry, the largest settlement and only city in the area; it has a population of 28,850.

Newry High School

Newry High School is a secondary school in Newry, County Down, Northern Ireland. It is within the Southern Education and Library Board area. The school was founded as Newry Intermediate School, changing its name to Newry Grammar School in 1948. In 1966 the final name change to Newry High School happened with the merger of Newry Grammar School and Ashgrove Secondary Intermediate School. The current principal is Mr Brown.
