Callan River is a river in County Armagh, Northern Ireland which joins the River Blackwater 1.6 km upstream from Bond's Bridge. It is navigable by dinghy or canoe for 2 km to Fairlawn Bridge. It flows in a generally northerly direction from Tullnawood lake, past Darkley, passing within a few miles of Keady town, through Tassagh and on to Armagh.

Collegeland is a semi-rural area in north County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Most of the settlement is within the townlands of Aghinlig and Keenaghan, near the village of Charlemont and just across the River Blackwater, Ulster from Moy, County Tyrone. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 674 people. It is within the Armagh City and District Council area.

Battle of Benburb

The Battle of Benburb took place on 5 June 1646 during the Irish Confederate Wars, the Irish theatre of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms. It was fought between the forces of Confederate Ireland under Owen Roe O'Neill and a Scottish Covenanter and Anglo-Irish army under Robert Monro. The battle ended in a decisive victory for the Irish Confederates and ended the Scottish hopes of conquering Ireland and imposing their own religious settlement there.
