Balintore Castle

Balintore Castle is a Victorian Category A listed building in Scotland. The castle occupies an elevated site in moorland above Balintore village, a few miles north of the Loch of Lintrathen, near Kirriemuir, Angus. A tower house named Balintor existed on the site in the late 16th century, according to Timothy Pont's maps. It was designed in 1859 by the architect William Burn.

Backwater Reservoir

National grid reference NO253591 Backwater Reservoir is a reservoir in north west Angus, Scotland. The project was initiated by the Dundee Corporation Waterworks in 1964 and absorbed into the newly created East of Scotland Water Board in 1968, before final completion and the official opening by Queen Elizabeth II on October 9, 1969. The reservoir's only purpose is to provide drinking water, and as such, it supplies Angus, Dundee, and parts of Perth and Kinross.

Glen Doll

Glen Doll, also sometimes spelt Glendoll, lies within the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland, at the top of Glen Clova, in an area of steep hills, corries and Munros. It includes the Corrie Fee Nature Reserve, which has many endangered plants. The nearest town is Kirriemuir. The Glen is in the South Eastern Grampians, and the river which runs through it drains into Glen Clova, which extends towards the coast of Angus. An ancient track, Jock's Road, that starts in the Glen, ends at Braemar.

Corrie Fee

Corrie Fee is a National Nature Reserve (NNR) at the head of Glen Clova in the Angus Glens of Scotland. It lies within the Cairngorms National Park. This is one of the most important sites for arctic-alpine plants in Britain. Corrie Fee itself is one of the best examples of a glacial corrie in the British Isles, with a natural amphitheatre of cliffs. The adjoining Corrie Sharroch and the slopes of Craig Rennet are also in the NNR.
