Loch Ailort
Loch Ailort is a sea loch in Morar, Lochaber, Highland, Scotland. Loch Ailort is a shallow V shaped loch, with the small Ardnish Peninsula on the north side, and the large southwest facing Moidart Peninsula to the south. Loch Ailort is bounded in the northeast by the village of the same name, Lochailort and in the west, opening out into the Sound of Arisaig. To the north of the loch lies Loch Nan Uamh.

Rois-bheinn
Rois-bheinn is the joint highest hill in the Scottish region of Moidart, a title it shares with its neighbour Beinn Odhar Bheag. The mountain may be climbed by its west ridge from the small village of Roshven (a settlement that takes its name from a roughly phonetic spelling of Rois-bheinn's name), or from Inverailort to the north. The Moidart peninsula is separated from the lands to its north by the deep pass of Loch Eilt, making Rois-bheinn one of the more prominent hills in the British Isles.

Moidart
Moidart is a district in Lochaber, Highland, Scotland. Moidart lies to the west of Fort William and is very remote. Loch Shiel cuts off the south-east boundary of the district. Moidart includes the townships of Dorlin, Mingarry, Kinlochmoidart and Glenuig. At Dorlin is located the ancient fortress of the MacDonalds, Castle Tioram. During World War II, HMS Dorlin was based at Dorlin and was used for training of Royal Navy Beach Signals and Royal Signals sections - battle training.

Lochaber is one of the 16 ward management areas of the Highland Council of Scotland and one of eight former local government districts of the two-tier Highland region. There are also earlier senses of Lochaber as a district, and Parish, within the county of Inverness (Inverness-shire), and the county of Argyll - north of Loch Eil - and as simply a district of Scotland.
