Portavadie (Scottish Gaelic: Port a' Mhadaidh) is a village in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:55|52|N|5|19|W|region:GB_type:city_source:GNS-enwiki|| |primary |name= }} The Portavadie complex was built with the help of local labour from the fishing village 'Tarbert' that lay due west across Loch Fyne. Sgat Mòr and Sgat Beag
Sgat Mòr and Sgat Beag are two small islands that lie off the Cowal peninsula on the west coast of Scotland. Sgat Mòr lies at grid reference NR930666 at the mouth of Loch Fyne. The island rises just 11 metres above sea level and is home to a small lighthouse. The area to the south of the island is the deepest area of water in the Clyde area. Sgat Mòr is sometimes corrupted into English as Skate Island. Sgat Beag is a similar but slightly smaller island that lies 1 kilometre to the east.
