Pengam railway station

Pengam railway station is situated in Pengam on the Rhymney Line of the Valley Lines network in South Wales. The train service is 4 trains per hour south to Cardiff Central and onwards to Penarth. Northwards there are 3 trains an hour terminating at Bargoed with one train per hour continuing to Rhymney. It is also the nearest station to the town of Blackwood. Pengam is the 2nd busiest station on the Rhymney Line, after Caerphilly.

Islwyn (UK Parliament constituency)

Islwyn is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. This area, historically known for coal-mining, is a safe Labour Party seat which was once held by the party's former leader Neil Kinnock, who served as opposition leader for nearly a decade until 1992.
