Llwyngwern railway station

Llwyngwern was a station on the Corris Railway in Wales, built to serve the hamlet of Pantperthog and the residents of Plas Llwyngwern, where a daughter of the 5th Marquess of Londonderry lived with her husband. Although the Plas was in Montgomeryshire, the station was across the Afon Dulas in Merionethshire. The station was built at Llwyngwern, rather than at Pantperthog, because there is a very tight bend and a steep gradient on the railway at Pantperthog.

Ffridd Gate railway station

Ffridd Gate was a station on the Corris Railway in Wales, serving the hamlet of the same name near to where the Afon Dulas meets the Afon Dyfi and the village of Llanwrin. South of the station was the railway's bridge over the Dyfi, originally a wooden trestle construction and later a three-span steel bridge. The site of the bridge is now occupied by the Millennium Bridge for walkers and cyclists, providing a short-cut to Machynlleth.

Glyndŵr's Way

Glyndŵr's Way is a long distance footpath in mid Wales. It runs for 135 miles in an extended loop through Powys between Knighton and Welshpool.

Afon Twymyn

The River Twymyn (Afon Twymyn in Welsh) is a river in Powys, Mid Wales. From its source at the 40-metre high Ffrwd Fawr waterfall and head of the Pennant Valley near Dylife the river flows through Llanbrynmair before joining the River Dyfi upstream of Cemmaes Road.
