Somerville, Alabama

Somerville is a town in Morgan County, Alabama. It is included in the Decatur Metropolitan Area, as well as the Huntsville-Decatur Combined Statistical Area. As of the 2000 census, the population of the town is 347. Somerville was the county seat of Morgan County from 1818 to 1891, when the seat was moved to Decatur. The town was named for Robert M. Summerville, an officer killed in 1814 during the Creek Indian War.

Celebration Arena

Celebration Arena is a 5,000-seat indoor arena located in Decatur, Alabama. It contains an 150-by-300-foot (45,000 square foot) arena floor that can be used not only for sporting events as well as indoor track meets, rodeos and horse shows, but also for trade shows, flea markets, and other special events, such as concerts (concert capacity is up to 7,000). One large significance about this arena is that it is the only structure that contains a full indoor track.

Huntsville International Airport

Huntsville International Airport, also known as Carl T. Jones Field, is 9 miles (14 km) southwest of the central business district of Huntsville in Madison County, Alabama, United States. The airport is a part of the Port of Huntsville (along with the International Intermodal Center and Jetplex Industrial Park), and serves the Huntsville-Decatur Combined Statistical Area. Opened October 1967 as the Huntsville Jetport, this was the third airport site for Huntsville.
