Hopewell, Jefferson County, Alabama

Hopewell is an unincorporated community in Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. Today it lies mostly within the corporate limits of the City of Bessemer, Alabama. Pyne Mine

The Pyne Mine was a vertical shaft iron ore mine operated by the Woodward Iron Company and located near the Lacey's Chapel community outside Bessemer, Alabama in Shades Valley. It was, along with Woodward's Songo Mine, one of only two shaft mines dug in the Birmingham District, and the last ore mine to operate in the region, closing in 1971.

Hoover Metropolitan Stadium

Hoover Metropolitan Stadium (The Hoover Met), formerly known as Regions Park, is a minor league baseball park located in the Birmingham, Alabama, USA, suburb of Hoover. It was home of the Birmingham Barons of the Southern League from 1988 to 2012, replacing historic Rickwood Field in Birmingham.
